Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar

  1. The recipe ingredients said 2 eggs, but the instructions said cake mixture called for 2 eggs and the creame cheese mixture called for 2 eggs. That's a total of 4 eggs. Something is off here.

    3. You only use two eggs. You do not make the yellow cake then the recipe the cake mix more or less replaces flour.

    1. Look again June, the recipe actually shows 2 eggs, in two different places! 2 for the crust with the cake mix and butter, then again 2 for the topping with the cream cheese and powdered sugar!

    2. Nothing is off, it uses two eggs in the cake mixture, it uses two eggs in the top mixture, then it is all baked
