Ingredients
- 5 Sweet and Tart Apples
- 1 box Pie crust (2 sheets inside)
- 1 Pie Tray (aluminum)
- 1/3 cup Milk
- 3 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1/3 White Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 Ground Cinnamon
- 3 tbsp Flour or arrowroot
Instructions
1_ Preheat oven to 4252_ Peel and slice apples. Thin sliced
3_ Add lemon juice to prevent browning of the apples. Add cinnamon,sugars, milk and vanilla extract . Add flour .Mix well
4_ Add a dash of salt to enhace the sweetness . Put apples aside.
5_ Get pie tray and pie crusts. Room temperature makes for easier shaping.
6_ Place one sheet at the bottom of tray. Sprinkle a little bit of flour at the bottom of tray before bottom sheet of crust
7_ Add Apples :)
8_ Put top sheet of crust on Apple. Makes slits in the top for ventilation. Seal the bottom at top crust together
9_ Beat egg add some sugar. Brush on top on crust. For golden color :)
10_ Place foil on pie for 30 mins in oven. Remove after 30 mins and keep pie in until golden color
